Facebook is one of the leading social networking websites in this world. Recently, Facebook launched a "Two Step Verification" or "Login Approval" process which enables users to protect their account. This guide will show you how to activate two step verification for Facebook users in India.

What is 2 step verification / Login approval in Facebook?
Whenever a user who has enabled 2 step verification in Facebook tries to login to their account, an sms will be sent to the user's mobile number. That sms will contain a pin number which he needs to enter to access the account. Without the pin number, it is impossible to login! The name given for "Two step verification" by facebook is "Login Approvals". In India, this login approvals are not yet made available. So, if you want to protect your account, you can use "Proxies" to achieve the login approvals instantly.
Which proxy should I use?
You can use the Proxy of any country, which has Facebook login approvals enabled. Say, United Kingdom. There are several websites available which offer you free proxy. But, you must be very careful that you can be easily monitored when you are operating in proxy. So, you should not use banking and other sensitive stuffs when you are using proxy.
Note : You can remove the proxy once you complete enabling "Login Approvals" for your facebook account.

Steps to Activate 2 step verification
Change the Proxy in your browser. If you are using "Firefox" :
Go to : Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings.
Now, Select "Manual Proxy Configuration"
Enter the proxy of the contry of you choice.
UK proxy : 62.253.249.249
Now, Save the settings.
You can now login to your Facebook account as usual.
Go to "Account Settings"
Go to "Security Settings"
In the Security settings page, you will see "Login Approvals". If you cannot see this, change your proxy and try again.
Click on "Login Approval"
Click on "Get Started"
Select "Other" and click "Continue"
Now, enter your mobile number and "Continue".
You will receive a code. Enter the code and "continue".
Now, you have successfully activated "Login Approvals" for facebook in India.

If someone try to access your account from a new browser with your password, they cannot access your account! You are now safe.. :)
